UITS Student Ambassador video production by Kelsey Smith
On Tuesday, May 3rd the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) Student Chapter held its first meeting on campus. TAG is one of the leading technology industry associations, and is dedicated to the promotion and advancement of the local and state wide technology industries. At the meeting, we discussed the benefits of being a TAG Student Chapter member and ways to get involved in the technology community. Students were able to enjoy free sandwiches and drinks while learning all about TAG and its membership benefits.
The meeting was led by TAG Student Chapter President, Kelsey Smith. At the meeting, Kelsey introduced Victor Nguyen as Vice President and Hathor Muhammad as Secretary. We were also fortunate enough to have Heather Maxfield join us at the meeting. Heather serves as Vice President of Government Affairs and Statewide Economic Development for the Technology Association of Georgia. Abraham George, Vice President of Information Technology/CIO at Columbus State University also attended the meeting and helped promote the organization. He encouraged students to get involved with opportunities for internships and meetings.
