National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) – recognized every October – was created as a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure Americans have the resources they need to stay safer and more secure online.
Cybersecurity begins with a simple message everyone using the Internet can adopt:
STOP. THINK. CONNECT. Take security and safety precautions, understand the consequences of your actions and behaviors online, and enjoy the benefits of the Internet.
As CSU will recognize the National Cyber Security Awareness Month October 13th – 17th, we will have various events throughout the week. Our slogan this year is Secure your “Selfie”. We would like to reinforce the simple measures everyone should take to be safer and more secure online, and their understanding that cybersecurity is a shared responsibility.
Please view our site for events that will take place here at CSU and view our Help Desk Facebook page to see daily tips.

UITS + HP Select a Laptop Winner during the 2014 Help Desk Days
As a “Welcome Back to Campus”, the CSU Help Desk held its annual Help Desk Days to promote our services and interact with students, faculty, and staff as they returned to campus. Our vender, MCPc, donated an HP laptop for us to give away to one lucky student. We spoke with numerous students who registered for the laptop on both Main and RiverPark Campus and Amanda Miron ended up winning the laptop. We appreciate all of the participation and interest that we received over the three day event and we look forward to the 2015 Help Desk Days to be just as successful as this year!
